Asparagus starts to appear in the supermarkets at this time of year, and all it reminds us of is warm days and long evenings so it’s perfect to include – It’s already made an appearance on MasterChef too. This asparagus, bacon and goat cheese tart is a perfect pick – pair with a side salad for a lunch or light dinner and you’ve got a great spring/summer meal.
Spring hasn’t just got us in the mood for new lingerie – what we eat needs a revamp too. With MasterChef back on the telly (yes, it’s basically made our Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights) we wanted to amp up our spring foody game and pick some great seasonal recipes to share with you.

Breakfast and all things eggy are really having a moment so we thought it’d be good to include an egg-based dish in here. Swiss chard is definitely not something we have stocked in the fridge, but we’re feeling like really branching out with these recipes. It sounds fancy and scary but it’s just another healthy green. It looks pretty delish in these baked eggs with spinach recipe that I’m sure you can have for any meal of the day and most importantly, it takes barely any time at all to make!
We’ve found a recipe that takes it to a whole new level and looks absolutely scrummy – Rhubarb crumble muffins! Add a dollop of ice cream or double cream for a sneaky evening pud you won’t feel guilty about eating.

We had to add something a little sweet in here – much like Gregg Wallace, we’ve got quite the sweet tooth. Rhubarb is another one that makes a cheeky appearance at this time of year, and we’re a sucker for a rhubarb crumble.
